Music in Ministry

♫  Music In Ministry  ♫

Ps. 100:1-2  Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands!

“It is hoped that the music and arts ministry of this church will be a vehicle through which God may bless His people by allowing many to find fulfillment, joy, and abundant life as they develop and use the talents the Lord has given them.”

“Developing An Effective Worship Ministry” by Tom Kraeuter

Here are just few of the ways to make a joyful noise at Evangelical:

 ♫  Sanctuary Choir  ♫

Provides music leadership for Sunday morning worship services.

Sings special programs of all musical types throughout the year.

Encouraging all singers in High School and Beyond!

This choir is a worship – leading choir.  It is open to singers 9th grade and beyond.  The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00.  Childcare is provided upon request.  The choir sings at every Sunday morning service. Not always available on Thursdays?  We rehearse our music more than a month in advance so missing every now and then is no problem!

♫   Handbell Choir  ♫

Open to all who like to ring-a-ling!

No previous experience necessary!

The handbell choir (affectionately known as ‘ding-a-lings’), rehearses on Thursdays from 5:45 – 6:45, September through May.  Note reading experience is helpful but prior handbell experience is not necessary.

♫  Instrumentalists  ♫

Provide music leadership for Sunday morning worship services

All instruments are welcome

Calling all instrumentalists to accompany congregational singing as well as enhance choir anthems and songs.  You name the instrument, we can use it!  Brass – Strings – Woodwinds – Percussion – our goal is to supplement Sunday song accompaniments with as many instruments as are available.

Are you a young player?  There’s no better place to gain experience than making a joyful noise to the Lord!  Are you a “seasoned” player?  Haven’t touched your horn since high school or college?  Dust off your case and we’ll have a great time making music!

Come see how God can make you His instrument !
